Our artwork is more than just coffee on the canvas. Before the coffee touches our brush, the coffee needs to be prepared, to be transformed into a workable pigment. Years and years of experimentation, refining of technique and development of our process flows into each of our paintings. Like artists from the Renaissance, we are engineers as well as artists. Through careful examination of the properties of coffee, we have successfully discovered a formula that has characteristics of both an acrylic, as well as a watercolor mediums. It is the creation of our medium as well as our paintings that we feel that we are multi-dimensional artists.

Since we have been painting with coffee, we have experimented with different concepts, ideas and techniques. But the one consistent theme throughout our Coffee Art® exploration is the passion of creating original fine art. It is this passion that we reflect in our artwork. It is a passion that we can work on paintings together, as a couple. We are excited to be working with Caffè Carbonelli. They are as passionate about coffee as we are with our art. We are both artisans in our own respect, Caffè Carbonelli with the art of roasting coffee, and ourselves creating works of fine art with coffee. The two go hand in hand, with the joy of coffee being the foundation of our friendship. Our personalities are engrained into and translated into our paintings. You can see our enthusiasm and excitement in our paintings, with energetic brushstrokes; our attention to fine details, such as the subtle hints to capture a likeness on a portrait and the boldness and richness of the coffee colors reflects the warmth in our hearts.

As we have discovered with this relationship, we have and we hope to continue to create friendships. This is why we love creating fine art with coffee. First, the satisfaction of painting with each brushstroke, developing and evolving the work of art into a masterpiece. Then we have the thrill of exhibiting our paintings for the world to see. Finally, it is the conversations that we have about our artwork and the the building of relationships with people who love art and their cups of coffee. It is a joy and a privilege to be able to create these works of art out of coffee and to be able to share them. We continue to evolve with our artwork, with new techniques and ideas that shape our everyday lives. It is our desire to strive for new inspiration today that we can incorporate in a painting that we create tomorrow. We look to the future and we can envision spending the rest of our lives, challenging ourselves to create new works of art out of coffee. We are proud to be the discoverers of this medium and we hope that the legacy we leave is a passion for this artform.
